A short but lively trip was planned and executed in October, we after having arranged our airtickets to Udaipur. One fine morning, went to domestic terminal at Delhi Airport, after check in got into flight and after about one hour fourty minutes landed at Udaipur Airport, small but very neat and clean. From here took taxi and went straight to shree Amrit Palace.
With the help of guide visit the Haldighati, Eklingji, Nathwara, Shree Nath Temple, Lake palace.
Haldighati is a mountain pass in the Aravalli range of hills of Rajasthan, at a distance of about 40kms from Udaipur where two wars were fought between Mugal and Rajput.
Eklingji is Lord Mahadev (Shiva) Temple, ruling deity of Mewar Princely state, located about 22kms from Udaipur in the town Eklingji. The magnificent architecture of Eklingji temple is superb and this temple of Lord Shiva is sorrounded by 108 temples of Deities.
Nathwara Sree Nath Temple is Lord Krishna's temple located about 48 kms from Udaipur having rich carvings on pure white marble.
Nathwada town called Apollo of Mewar is famous for its paintings, ivory articles and sweets.
Next morning after finishing the breakfast, we started to Jaisalmer and reached our stop over payal palace, went for sight seeing sand stone fort, Carved havelis in the city and in the evening hired camel to see sunset in the deserts khuri and Sam.
Khuri is small place, but very calm and rich in culture, whereas Sam is large and and over filled with tourists. Late evening we returned to hotel, and in next morning we started our journey back to Udaipur, known for parks, lakes, palaces and many other rajput clan, ancient structure.
We moved straight to airport, got checked in and boarded the flight and landed at Delhi airport. We were fully satisfied with our short trip.
